~The unicorn is part of the world of nature and part of the world of dreams--and completely of the heart. In many ways, it is a symbol of our longing for the mysterious and the unattainable~
~The Meaning of Unicorns~
~Unicorns have long been a representation of the Moon, a clear indication of female energy; this yin side is evident in the mysterious, intuitive, magick found within the unicorn. This embodiment of purity and natural truth is found threaded throughout most of the major cultures of the world and is thought valid to be an archetypal image. Archetypes are universal, reflecting a primal energy pattern. Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, symbols and images reflect an archetypal energy at play within out lives. When we work with archetypes, we are lead back to our own primal source. The journey becomes part of the sacred quest, in which we find our true core. Archetypes can be seen as spiritual symbols, and the magick and power they hold is only as great as the significance we attach to it.~
If UNICORN shows up, it means: It is time to pursue any creative interests that you have suppressed. Let go of worries and have fun. You are going to experience a surge of personal power, use it wisely.
Call on UNICORN when: You want to recapture the sense of awe and magic. You’re feeling a call to get something artistic going and not sure what to do or how to get started.
If UNICORN is your POWER ANIMAL: You are attuned to Mother Nature and care deeply about the environment. You like working with highly sensitive children who have psychic or intuitive gifts.
This totem gives you the ability to make your dreams come true.
Unicorn has the ability to restore broken spirits.
Helps you develop personal power that can be unlimited.
A wonderful totem that has a connection
to the Spirits of the Forest and the Fairy Folk
With Unicorn, you can effect the weather patterns.
A very powerful yet at the same time, very gentle totem.
The spiral horn of the Unicorn can heal and neutralize poisons;
therefore, the Totem Spirit can also help its people develop their own healing abilities.
In the Orient, the Unicorn is peaceful and the bringer of good luck.
Also, known as a Kirin or Ki-lin.
In the Bible, Unicorns are known as "re'em"
and described by the Greek historian Ctesias as horse like,
with white bodies and deep blue eyes,
with a half meter long horn in the middle of their foreheads.
