1st Step: Smudge sticks are hard to keep burning , so light it before ceremony then blow into the smoldering embers to really let it take hold or else it might burn out.
If it does burn out, just re-light it and keep going
2nd Step: After stick is smoldering, "
I ask the smoke to be BLESSED and that will trap all entities and energies
3rd Step: Take the Smudge stick and start with your feet and go all up your body reaching the top of your head.
Then say the native prayer
( I invoke light of the God within I am clear and perfect channel, Light is my guide. )
4th Step: Then take your smudge stick and take it all around the doorway.
Smudge thrrough out the place.
The idea is the smoke traps the un-wanted stuff and spirits and it will leave out through the windows and door ways.
when the stick burns out put it in a bowl of water.
You might feel en-lighten and sleepy by the prayer so just try to stay focus.
P.S: Remember God and your spirits guides understand what you are trying to do, so THERE IS NO WRONG WAY to do this. Works better in a group too. (More then one person.)
