BEFORE YOU START - No one should experiment with the Ouija board if they are using mind altering drugs, legal or illegal - this includes alcohol. - Be positive. Like attracts like. If you go into an Ouija session with a negative mind you are bound to have a negative experience. If you are scared of the board then don't do it since chances are you will have a negative experience. - Fundamentalist Christians or people who believe that the board is the work of Satan should not use the Ouija board. - Always work in a well lit room. Avoid working by candle light. Although this helps to create a mood, darkness will put you in a negative state of mind that will encourage negative results. - Limit the amount of time that you spend on the Ouija board. Obsession and addiction are the greatest dangers of using the Ouija board. - Always work with a partner and NEVER WORK ALONE. Ouija experiences can be emotionally powerful or sometimes frightening. It is also good to have someone to discuss the session with or to comfort you if the session was negative.
TO START... - Two or more individuals should sit comfortably facing each other. - The board should be placed across the knees of the persons using it so that the best possible contact is established. For the best results it is suggested that a male and a female use the board, although this is not absolutely necessary. - The minds of the persons operating the Ouija board should be more or less blank or unoccupied. Take a few minutes to relax and calm your thoughts before starting. If it is possible, the operators themselves should not be busy with what the board spells out and a third person should be used to record the letters and words as they are given. - (This depends on your religious beliefs)The saying of a prayer before and after each Ouija session is recommended by many Ouija operators. The Lord's prayer is popular or you may compose your own. As long as it gets across the idea that you are protected from any negative influences by God. - Your first must "call" an entity to talk with you. This can be done by saying "Can we have a spirit on the board?", "Is there a spirit on the board?", "Is there someone there willing to talk with us?", "I would like to contact ___________." " ___________ can your here me? Will you come and talk with us?' etc. - Introductions are in order when you first meet someone, and the same holds true for "spirits" through the Ouija board. Politely ask for personal details of the spirit: Ex. name, age, where the individual is and want they want.
DURING A SESSION - Only one person at a time should ask questions as not to confuse the "spirit". Anyone in the room may ask questions as long as only one question at a time is asked. - A journal that includes all questions and answers is highly recommended. In this way it is possible to track inconsistencies or similarities between spirits. Many time words will not make sense at first. However, sometimes answers are given that consist of an extra or missing letter. Sometimes a seemingly meaningless message will make perfect sense when reviewed later. - If the planchette suddenly refuses to continues moving don't force it. It is permissible to move it back to the center of the board and try asking the question again. * If you suddenly feel threatened or overwhelmed, stop working immediately. *
AT THE END OF A SESSION - Make sure that you get the spirit to say Good Bye at the end of a session by having it move the planchette through the word until it falls off the board. Some people believe that if you don't have the "spirit" say Good Bye it will stay near the board, the people who contacted it, or in the room/house, which may inadvertently lead to hauntings.
SOME MORE INFO AND VARIATIONS - You may have more than two people on the planchette at the same time. This sometimes adds extra strength to the movements. - Sometimes you will have a weak entity at the start of a session. If you ask the entity to "Please circle around the board to build up strength." this will give it more strength to communicate and you will find the planchette will move faster through the session. - You may ask the entity to make its presence known in other ways. (This usually works only for strong entities) You may ask it to waver the flame of a candle, make some general "sign" in the room, or you may place a tape recorder recording in another room, ask it to try and leave a message on the tape, and when it signifies that it is done, play back the tape. You may be shocked by what you hear. - If you have an entity you wish to talk to further but at a later date, set a time to talk to it again. Usually the same time the next day works best. - The Ouija board is a good devise to use in the development of Psychic abilities. Try some different experiments with the board like having someone who is in the room but not on the board think of a number and the board guess it. - Try making your own board with added extras like "MAYBE", "REPEAT QUESTION", punctuation marks, what ever you think will be of use.
