Shaman journeying
Deeper journeys to other worlds require going beyond your sacred space. The other worlds that shamans journey to are many and varied and can encompass any number of features, because each is a construct of the shaman who enters it. Essentially, other worlds are confined to two realms, and when you journey from your sacred space you can travel downwards to the under world or upwards to the upper-worlds.

When a shaman starts to journey they have to learn to be open to anything that may happen with in their journey, They also have to trust their instincts as what comes first to mind (journeying is the worst time to start having daults)as you never know who you will meet just go with the flow of your instincts and go with the first thoughts, never forget you have control on what you are going to accomplish with in the journey , always remember to be as creative as possible to get through any barriers or blocks that may slow your journey down or even try to make you turn course.
Using a drum is a great way to travel to other worlds, it would be a good idea to get some one to drum for you or just get a tape/disc of a drum beat. Best rhythm is around 200 beats per Min aids focus in opening a gate way to other worlds best to build it up slowly so the one travelling can get used to where they are and get ready to open the gateway, but keep it regular so as not to disturb the one travelling. When there you can slow the beat down again to a regular beat until you are ready to return.
Entrances for underworld.
Doorway or gate, animal hole, a well, waterfall or stream, worm hole, cave or rock face, a knot in a tree.
You would journey to the under world for: seeking solutions to problems, or seeking a shaman.
When journeying to the underworld (please remember its not the Christian belief of hell it is a representation of the travellers inner self) you will come across challenges which may be fears or problems, by confronting these you will find solutions to problems. Remember when travelling you may make your self any size to fit in any entrance you have picked.
When journeying to meet a shaman you will find he will either give you the knowledge you seek or even a object which may be placed in your special place. Please remember when given anything try to give something back e.g. take some berry’s/nuts to the woods for the birds.

A cave mouth up high, a tall tree, a mountain that goes rite up to the clouds, ladder, gap in the sky to be reached by flying or leaping, flight of stairs.
You journey to the upper world for meeting spirits or receive inspirations when travelling to the upper world you can connect to sprirts to aid you in your journey or for you to pass on knowledge or to receive it.
This realm is calm as its associated with the higher self and can feel calm tranquil with limitless space, As this realm is the all knowing part of you you can get to the root of any problem.

When you go travelling for a power animal you don’t need to go as deep as you would when journeying, all you need to do is go to the end of your sacred space and look around a path will be given when the path ends and you just need to wait till your animal comes to you. Once you have met your animal he/she will come with you on any journey to the upper and lower worlds.
